The Application of Seerah to Contemporary Social Challenges: An Academic and Reseach Study

Abstract

in the contemporary world, social life is facing numerous crises. The decline of moral values, the weakening of the family system, economic disparities, extremism, the negative impact of technology, and environmental challenges have pushed humanity into intellectual and practical confusion. Various ideologies and philosophies have been tested to address these issues, but none could provide a lasting and comprehensive solution.

In this context, the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad stands as a holistic and universal model with the potential to reform both the individual and society. The core principles of the Prophet’s life—moral and character building, justice and equality, compassion and mercy, consultation, education and training, and interfaith harmony—offer practical solutions to today’s social crises. This study explores how the teachings of the Seerah can be effectively applied to address contemporary social challenges.

The findings suggest that the Seerah of the Prophet is not merely of religious or historical significance but serves as a universal human model with the capacity to solve modern societal problems. The recommendations emphasize the inclusion of practical aspects of the Seerah in educational curricula, the reform of social institutions, and the introduction of the Prophet’s Seerah as a model of peace and dialogue at the global level.
