Linguistic Views of Hazim al-Qartajanni in the Light of Modern Linguistics

Abstract

The Turāth (heritage) of classical Arabic linguistics is replete with advanced linguistic insights documented across a variety of sources. This study aims to uncover these insights and examine their parallels in modern linguistics through an analysis of selected works of classical Arabic criticism. The researcher contends that these texts present linguistic perspectives comparable to those found in contemporary linguistic theory. Through extensive Investigation, this study seeks to deepen understanding of Arabic linguistic heritage, fostering scholarly independence and equipping researchers in Arabic linguistics with the tools needed to move beyond sources that lack intellectual depth.
